About the artist

Peter Sonnleitner lives in Bad Deutsch Altenburg/Austria. He is a freelance

artist whose works include more than 600 watercolours and numerous oil

paintings. His aim is to combine inspiration, knowledge and art. He has

successfully exhibited in "one man shows" and group exhibitions throughout

Austria. President of St. Lukas Gilde Vienna.

Until 1998 he participated in setting up exhibition stalls at trade and fairs all

over Europe. Eventually he decided on joining the Vienne Art Academy to

study watercolours especially for portraits, body studies and landscape painting.

Inspiration is not forseeable, it happens.

Passages from John F. Kennedy to Donna W. Cross, from Yehudi Menuhin

have triggered a process which leads to visual interpretation combining

porträture, life studies and landscape.

A sketch is transformed into an intense colour experience.
